Finca Medina, Guatemala
Finca Medina, Guatemala
Kiwi. Blackberry. Juicy.
This is a juicy one. Finca Medina is a yellow honey-processed coffee from Antigua jam packed with fruity flavours, good acidity, and toffee-like sweetness.
Finca Medina is located in the foothills of the Agua volcano on the outskirts of Antigua, Guatemala City. The farm combines modern technology with traditional techniques as part of a broader effort towards sustainability. Alongside using traditional African raised beds, Finca Medina has its own state of the art water treatment plant for recycling water and reuses pulped coffee as organic compost.
This farm cares about the coffee it produces. All coffee undergoes laboratory testing for quality control. But they also care about their people and local community. They provide education, training and healthcare, offer educational scholarships for staff and their children, and provide support to other small coffee producers in the area.
