Shipping & Returns Policy

Shipping & Delivery

All of our coffee is roasted inside our roastery in Port Glasgow. Our roastery operates from Monday to Friday, with orders dispatched 5 days a week.

UK Shipping 

We work hard to ensure you get your orders as quickly as possible. All online orders are dispatched by Royal Mail using their standard 2nd class service (48 hours). However, please allow up to 7 working days for delivery. We charge a flat rate of £3 for UK shipping.

PS - we offer free shipping if you spend £30 or more and if you sign up to any of our coffee subscriptions!

Click + Collect

We also have a free click + collect option if you live near the roastery in Port Glasgow or just happen to be passing by. Orders will be available to collect from us on pick-up days which are Tuesdays 13.00 - 15.00 and Saturdays 9.00 - 10.00. If you can't collect during pick-up times, drop us a message by email (hello@downrivercoffee.com) to arrange for a different time. 

Delivery Delays

If we have to unexpectedly close our roastery early, or work around postal strikes and holidays, you might experience a delivery delay. We’ll always do our best to let you know if your delivery is going to be delayed, but you’re also welcome to get in touch with us: hello@downrivercoffee.com.

International Shipping

As a new small business still finding our sea legs, we are not yet shipping outside the UK but hope to be expanding our shipping options abroad soon enough. Please bear with us in the meantime. 

 

Returns and Refunds

Coffee Returns

We hope you love your Downriver coffee that you purchase from our online shop. If your delivery is damaged, or doesn’t live up to your expectations, we have a flexible return policy. Please reach out to us explaining what you aren't happy with and/or why you're requesting a refund and we'll take it from there. Customer satisfaction is important to us so please let us know in detail why, as we want to ensure every customer is a happy customer.

Non-Coffee Returns

We’ll happily accept the return of any equipment or merchandise that doesn’t live up to your expectations within 30 days of purchase. Please keep all original packaging. If the equipment is damaged or faulty, we will arrange for collection of the goods and cover all costs. You may either choose to have a replacement delivered or be issued with a full refund. If the order you’re returning is not faulty/damaged, you will be liable for return shipping costs. 

Please let us know that your goods are being returned, along with proof of postage:

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.
